Sun in the Wood Beginners Watercolour Starter Kit
A complete starter pack to get you watercolouring! The pack costs £37.95 including post and packing and includes:
- 1 x Bockingford Watercolour Pad [8 sheets of thick paper to stop buckling when wet and has a textured surface to hold the paint.]
- 1 x Windsor and Newton paintbox [Contains all the colours used in our classes - refills can be bought in art supplier shops. It also contains a small extendable brush.]
- 1 x No 7 sable/ester watercolour brush [Our No7 brush is half sable. It forms a point when wet for detailed work, stays firm in use and holds a good volume of mixture.]
- 1 x mixing palette []
- 1 x pencil [This is a soft grade with a 2B lead which does not dent the paper when drawing. Office / school pencils tend to be HB which is too hard for watercolour paper.]
- 1 x putty rubber [Specifically for erasing the pencil drawing very gently without disturbing the surface of the paper. Do not use a normal rubber.]
- 1 x Pilot drawing pen [Completely waterproof which means you can colour over it with wet paint and it won’t run.]
- 1 x landscape project [The painting process of our project picture is self-explanatory. It is a Kent country scene which was drawn with a fine waterproof pen and painted later. The drawing can be copied and painted in the same way as shown. All the colours are explained.]
- 1 x viewfinder [To look through when planning a picture. It cuts out unnecessary detail.]
The contents of the Watercolour pack are all contained in a clear plastic wallet.
